Local Hires  are individuals legally authorized to work in Brazil or Brazilian citizens.nnResponsibilitiesnInstruction and Student SupportnSupport classroom Teachers during push-in (co-teaching) and pull-out instructional sessions.nWork with individual students or small groups to reinforce language learning goals, vocabulary, and classroom tasks.nAssist students in understanding instructions, assignments, and classroom routines.nProvide support during assessments, following guidance on accommodations and scaffolds.nClassroom and Student SupportnHelp students develop organization, study skills, and academic routines.nSupport student engagement, positive behavior, and confidence in classroom and small-group settings.nAssist with the preparation, organization, and adaptation of instructional materials.nSupervise students during transitions, learning activities, and ELL-related sessions as needed.nCollaboration and Professional PracticenWork collaboratively with ELL Teachers, classroom teachers, and student support staff.nShare observations about student progress and needs with the ELL Teacher.nParticipate in meetings, training sessions, and professional learning as required.nCommunicate professionally and respectfully with students, families, and colleagues.nDemonstrate professionalism in attendance, punctuality, conduct, and confidentiality.nnEducationnRequirednHigh school diploma or equivalent.nDesirednCoursework or degree in Education, English, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field.nTraining or experience working with multilingual learners or adolescents.nnExperiencenRequirednExperience working with children or adolescents in an educational or youth-focused setting.nDesirednExperience supporting English Language Learners in middle school or secondary settings.nExperience working in international or multicultural environments.nnKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesnRequirednProficiency in EnglishnStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with adolescents.nAbility to support students in structured and unstructured learning environments.nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.nAbility to follow instructional guidance and collaborate effectively as part of a team.nDesirednProficiency in another language (e.g., Portuguese or others) is an asset.nBasic understanding of second-language acquisition principles.nAbility to support students with diverse learning and cultural backgrounds.
